About VT Leaderboards

How to participate

All players registered on the app are eligible to participate, but only ones with positive energy are shown on the leaderboards.
To get on the leaderboards, make sure you have your KovaaK's/Aimlabs accounts linked in settings. Once you have your accounts linked and have earned some energy or volts, you will appear on the leaderboards after the next update.

Schedule

Leaderboards are built daily for each modern benchmark ( KovaaK's S5, Aimlabs S3, Valorant S1).
Updates usually start at the same time for a benchmark (but different for each benchmark) and can take from 15 minutes to several hours to complete, depending on the benchmark and overall the number of players for its scenarios. As a rule of thumb, you can expect the next update to be completed roughly 24 hours after the previous one.
You can find the date and time of the last update on the leaderboard page.
We may increase the update frequency in the future.

Metrics

Energy is calculated in the same way as on your profile, determining your overall VT rank for the benchmark.
Your scores are compared to the score targets for ranks, with the highest score in aiming subcategory determining your subcategory energy. The overall benchmark energy is the harmonic mean of all subcategory energies.
The energy system is designed to push players to improve at every type of aiming, while allowing to climb higher ranks with a strong performance in favorite scenarios.
Using harmonic mean also means that you will only get energy once you have at least one score in each subcategory.
Note that the energy for advanced scenarios is capped at the max rank's value (usually 1200), until you reach the said rank with your overall energy, e.g. hit Celestial. After that your scenario energy will be uncapped.

Volts are only available for advanced difficulty, focused on the scenarios grind. Current implementation is different from the OG volts from the older seasons.
To earn Volts, you need to hit scores above Grandmaster score targets (or Radiant for Valorant, aka first rank in the advanced difficulty). You will receive from 0 to 1000 volts based on how far you are from the best score on the scenario leaderboard. We only count the best scores among the app users to ignore occasional cheaters on public leaderboards.
Your total volts are the sum of all scenario volts. Maximum amount of volts is related to the amount of scores in the advanced tier of the benchmark, so numbers will vary across different benchmarks.
